Instructions for Physics Students

Hi there everyone.

Welcome to 2010. I'm Miss Ng and I welcome you to my Physics Class. Our first lesson is on 4th Jan Tuesday. My lessons are structured as follow so you will know what to expect in my Physics classes

1) Revision and discussion of previous lesson's homework
2) Overview of the lesson and what you're learning in the whole chapter.
3) Explanation of each principles and points from the sub-topics.
4) Exercises and sample questions (SPM style) that are related to the sub-topic you just learnt
5) Summary of the lesson and instructions for homework.

There will be 1 or 2 lessons for "end of chapter assessment" after every Chapter.
These are very important lessons as I will teach you how to answer Essay questions and Experiment questions which you have never done before in PMR. Please make sure you attend these lessons.

Before the class, I'd like you to prepare the following items :

1) Login and download the notes for your respective classes. (the notes are in Microsoft PowerPoint format, so you must have powerpoint to view them.) For example : Form 5 students should download "Form 5 Physics Chapter 1 L1.ppt"

2) Go to the homework tab, and download also the homework for the chapter that you're learning. For example - for this first lesson, Form 4 students should download "F4 Physics Chap 1 worksheet.pdf" (You do not have to print these as you can use PDF xChange Viewer to write your answers into the file directly and upload them to cramschool for me to mark)

3) This is optional - you may want to print out the notes before each lesson. This is because the notes are not complete, I will provide the complete explanation during the lesson, therefore you will need to take notes when I'm teaching.

When printing the notes, you can choose to print multiple slides in a page, and remember to disable 'background printing' otherwise your printer will run out of ink very fast!

If you have trouble with downloading or printing you may contact cramschool support and they will help you.

4) Please have the following items ready with you when you enter my classroom
- calculator, pens and pencil. (you're required to do exercises and tell me your answer in the class)
- print out of my notes / a notebook to take notes if you didn't print out my notes
- downloaded copy of the homework for that lesson. You will need to open the file in another window as I may be going through some of the questions while teaching.

Ok that's about it for instructions.
Don't worry if you can't get everything done for the first lesson. This is something new for all of us, so we'll adjust as we go along.

Meanwhile - enjoy your first week at school :)
